The service covers suitable domestic cookers, hobs, ovens and range cookers, including suitable LPG residential park-home cookers. Commercial catering and workplace gas services are not offered.

The applicable price includes attendance, fault diagnosis and up to one hour of onsite labour. Additional diagnostic or repair labour is £37.50 per additional 30 minutes. Parts are additional.
Domestic gas work is priced separately and does not qualify for the Domestic Appliances multi-appliance discount. If a return visit is required for gas work, we will explain any further labour charge before arranging it wherever reasonably practicable.
Any paid parking reasonably required to attend the property is charged at cost.
Parts are additional and will be estimated before ordering. Parts requiring ordering are normally paid for before ordering. Payment is due on completion unless an authorised credit arrangement applies.
How the Visit Works
- Tell us the appliance type, fuel type where known, make/model, postcode and reported problem.
- We attend, inspect and test the appliance within current Gas Safe registered scope and competence.
- We explain the findings and the repair or safety action required.
- If additional diagnostic or repair time is needed beyond the included first hour, the additional gas labour rate applies.
- Where parts or a return visit are required, we explain the estimate and next action before arranging further work wherever reasonably practicable.
If a Gas Safety Issue Is Found
A cooking-appliance visit may reveal a gas-safety issue outside the appliance itself, including a problem affecting domestic gas pipework. Safety obligations take priority. Ecofix will explain the findings and take the appropriate action within current registered scope and competence. Where immediate repair is not possible, the affected appliance or installation may need to be made safe.
The additional gas labour rate applies where further diagnostic or repair time is required. Commercial gas work remains outside Ecofix Scotland’s current registered scope.
Repair Guarantee
Customer-paid repairs are covered for three months from completion for Ecofix Scotland workmanship and parts supplied and fitted by Ecofix in connection with the specific repair carried out. The guarantee does not cover unrelated or subsequent faults and does not affect statutory rights. Gas-safety requirements always remain controlling.
Supply & Installation
Supply and installation/connection of suitable domestic gas cooking appliances can be provided by estimate where the work falls within current Gas Safe categories, competence and installation conditions.
Gas Safe Registration & Service Area
Ecofix Scotland undertakes domestic gas work only within current Gas Safe registered categories. Relevant current categories include domestic cookers, range cookers and domestic pipework for applicable Natural Gas and LPG work.

Suitable LPG residential park-home cookers can be considered within current registered categories and competence.
Do you carry out commercial gas work?
No. Commercial catering and workplace gas services are outside Ecofix Scotland’s current registered scope.
What happens if you find a gas leak or another unsafe situation?
Safety obligations take priority. We will explain the findings and take the appropriate action within current registered scope and competence; where immediate repair is not possible, the affected appliance or installation may need to be made safe.
